This just has to have been one of the most utterly disappointing seasons in Bears history. There is no other way to put it and there certainly is no way to sugar coat it.

Really, the Bears have fallen apart because it's difficult to maintain a historically great defense two years in a row, and virtually impossible to do so for three (no one's done it before, anyway). And without much of an offense, you won't win many games with anything short of a historically great defense.
