Like it or not, two of the four teams today are going to the Super Bowl in two weeks. Personally, I'm ok with any of them going - except for Manningface Sr.'s Colts. I'm pretty ambivalent in the Bears-Saints contest (just hope to see some big plays on both sides), but will be rooting heavily for the Patsies to stump the Geldings in the playoffs yet again.
Picks? Saints 31-Bears 21. Why? Drew Brees > Rex Grossman, Deuce + Reggie > TJ + Cedric Benson, and the Saints' wideouts have made more plays this year than the Bears'. I think the Bears D starts out strong, but falters again, like it did in so many games down the stretch (and against the Seahawks last week), and, in the end, the 'Aints offensive firepower is just too much for them.
In the AFC, I think it's Pats 24-Colts 21. Manning just can't get it done - at least 2 INTs - and Brady does jut enough, with key plays coming from the nobodies on both sides of the ball and, of course, Troy Brown.
Neither of these are even remotely sure things; these are pretty good, even matchups, for one, and second, I am the guy who no only picked OSU over UF, but said, and I quote, "The only team that can blow out the other is OSU. If UF wins, it'll have to be close and low-scoring."
Shows what I know. Go Pats! And...go one of the NFC teams!!
Open Thread.
I have to go with my Bears...though it will be close. If they can get to Brees early, rush him, knock him down, watch for interceptions to play a huge role.
Bears will run the ball all day long....and win because of it.
Weather is going to be a huge factor...it's snowing(back and forth snow/rain/sleet), and there is a wind..supposed to become mild throughout the game..doubtful.
AFC...(what's that?)..Manning chokes, Pats win...and..to my chagrin...Pats win Super Bowl as well.
While I'm at it...in '08 it will be Obama/Richardson vs.Mo, Larry, or Curly, and sometimes Shemp.....
The Phils locked up Utley for seven years $85 million. Now they need to get the big guy signed longterm, so that the right side of the infield is the best in the league through 2014.
The Colts to put the demons to bed (and win the Superbowl) over the Saints who will finally end the Bears season.
Leon complains about all the Bronco fans on this board (I think there are 3 of us, we're just loud and obnoxious, well, I am at least), but there's waaaaaayy to many Bears fans around (and they're worse than us, heheh).
Two thirds of the world is covered by water, the other third is covered by Champ Bailey
give me a freaking break....you guys are hilarious!

All I know is, my brother would love for Tom Brady to choke.
Run like Reagan!
