Cam canned: Dolphins fire Cameron after 1-15 season

Cam Cameron was fired as the Miami Dolphins' coach Thursday by new boss Bill Parcells after plunging to an 0-13 start in his first year on the job and finishing with just one victory.

The dismissal comes three days after Parcells ousted general manager Randy Mueller and means the reeling franchise will have its fifth coach in five seasons.

The Fish were a pretty dreadful team to watch most of this year, but they did have some pretty OK moments. Still, there's a new sherrif in town - and that usually bodes poorly for the old deputies.

It will be very, very interesting to see who The Tuna brings in to try to fix this fine mess in Miami.

I didnt know this until I read the story on Fox Sports. Did the Dolphins not know this? This guy couldnt win in college, where you can have a million assistants handle all the work. If it wasnt for LT, I bet the guy wouldnt have lasted in San Diego for long, either.

If you want to hire someone who has no idea how to run a professional sport franchise, Steve Philips is looking for a job.

are a very, very small and not particularly inclusive club.

Can't explain it worth a darn - all I know that every year I always find at least one "new" coach with a team that leads me to say, "Cripes, given the track record how do they expect this to work out?"

Though to be honest, I though that with Wade Phillips this past year - and that seemed to work out A-OK for the 'boys.
