I admit some prejudice toward the team from Obnoxville. My DeVine relatives are from Northern Alabama, one cousin of which is my best friend. Of course, they hate Tennessee more than the Gray ever hated the blue.
Secondly, a Vanderbilt victory would help to enhance the SEC's reputation in a very down year.
Thirdly, it would be yet another victory for the geek school that combined its athletic program with intramurals several years ago. That move brought a lot of ridicule, yet the overall quality of Commodore sports has greatly improved, even in the MAIN sport as religion, i.e. Football.
Fourth, a Vandy win would make it more likely that the North Carolina Tar Heels will end up hosting a regional HERE in Charlotte.
I live one mile from the blue line light rail track that would take me straight to Bobcats arena.
